Doug Ralston - President, CEO

Doug followed a circuitous route to Wall Street. After spending his early twenties as an academic, he rose up into the world of finance as a trader at Goldman Sachs. Eventually, Doug met Tom Shearman. They started SR with the goal of establishing a new kind of brokerage firm. Over time and through great care and effort, the firm became Doug's own. Hearkening back to his days as a professor, Doug always enjoys talking to customers about market history, current trends, and investment strategy....though he tries not to lecture too much. In addition to supervising the firm's activities, Doug enjoys world history, listening to classical jazz, and watching movies with his kids and grandkids. (BrokerCheck)
